WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY UPDATE: Both North and South bound of Ft. Bend Toll Road over Hwy. 6 have been shut down to all traffic.

UPDATE: Both North and South bound of Ft. Bend Toll Road over Hwy. 6 have been shut down to all traffic.

Missouri City Emergency Management Officials will be monitoring local roadways and bridges throughout the day and overnight to assure public safety. Due to the ongoing rain and icing conditions, officials advise residents to avoid travel, if at all possible.

As a proactive measure, Public Works crews have treated the following 19 bridge locations with “F-Rock” to provide traction due to the potential of icing conditions:

 Gregory Boulevard near North Willow Circle
 McLain Boulevard near East Ritter Circle
 Lexington Boulevard near Hunters Glen IV
 Independence Boulevard near Thomas Paine Drive
 Court Road near Moore Road
 Turtle Creek Drive near Hilton Head Drive
 Turtle Creek Drive near Cherry Springs Drive
 Glenn Lakes Lane near Highland Lakes Drive
 Lake Olympia near Highway 6
 Lake Olympia near Village Brook Drive
 Plantation Lakes Drive near Peninsulas Drive
 Peninsulas Drive near Cicada Drive
 Crow Valley Drive near Pecan Court
 El Dorado Boulevard near Nancy Bell Lane
 Lakefront Drive near Lakefront Court
 Sienna Ranch Road
 Sienna Parkway Boulevard near Trammel Fresno Road
 Sienna Parkway Boulevard near Bees Passage
 Sienna Parkway Boulevard south of Bees Loop
 Cartwright Road near Brightwater Drive

The Texas Department of Transportation is monitoring state owned roadways (Cartwright Road, Texas Parkway, US 90A, and State Highway 6). The Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority is monitoring the Toll Road.

Officials also shared the following informational resources for residents: for emergencies, call 911; for power outages, contact CenterPoint Energy at 713.207.2222 and if you or a family member has functional and medical needs, register with Enable Fort Bend, www.enablefortbend.com.
